What is the best way to keep a child quiet? Certainly not by slashing their throats, a twenty-eight year old mother called 911 claiming that her children were crying “uncontrollably”and  that they need medical help. Thomas and Christina Booth are parents of three children, a two year old and six month twins. When cops arrived the twins were in the couch crying with a blood on their necks and the two year old was in the bed covered in blood. The children were taken to a local hospital and had a surgery that stabilized their health they will also be put in “protective custody”. Her bail is of $3 million and the father has not been charged.

Get rid of minimum mandatory sentencing laws

In 2010, Marissa Alexander discharged a firearm in the direction of her estranged husband, Rico Gray which she called a "warning shot" that missed him by several inches. Their two children were present. Alexander claimed self-defense, but a judge declined to grant self-defense. Alexander was sentenced to 20 years in prison. She was able to serve only three years and one year on house arrest and was recently released. Alexander had also had a baby at the time and had two more other children. To have spent time in prison for shooting a warning shot and not harming anyone seems absurd. Acts of domestic violence happens everyday and I believe she was innocent. What do you think?

Archaeologists recover some spooky looking medical tools used aboard Queen Anne’s Revenge, Blackbeard’s ship. Some of the things that they’ve found are urethral syringes used to inject mercury to treat syphilis. You have to remember that these men were under incredible amounts of pain, and did whatever they thought was necessary to make it stop. Originally, Queen Anne’s Revenge was a slave ship, that had doctors, and after Blackbeard captured it, he kept them to help alleviate their wounds.

Major says only 2 death in maternity hospital blast

Mexico City Mayor Miguel Angel Mancera revised the death toll from thursday’s gas explosion at a maternity hospital to two. He corrected earlier statement from officials giving a higher death toll. There are fears that more babies and adults may be trapped in the debris of the hospital, which was on the verge of collapsing after the explosion, according to governor and emergency official.

Snow keeps falling, high tide looms as New England battles blizzard

While sparing much of New York and New Jersey, the much talked-about storm managed to wallop parts of New England on Tuesday. And even after producing coastal flooding and dropping several feet of snow (including 30 inches in Framingham, Massachusetts, and up to 6-foot drifts statewide), there's more to come. Here in Houston we have not had to deal with extreme cold weather hardly at all and frankly I am glad. Many Houstonians wish that there would be colder winters, and that it would snow at least once on Christmas day. I personally am fine with the mild winter weather here in Houston, but what do you think?

Rare species

The picture above is a rare Black Jaguar, it is known to only be about 600 of this species. The CEO of a wild fund caught one of the Black Jaguares swimming and was amazed because these predators are rare to see in the wild. These rare species are becoming more and more rare to the public and in the wild. Recently two Black Jaguars were born in a Zacango Zoo in Mexico, one of which was born melanistic, which means completely black but still has spots. These cub were artificially made like the rest of the other breedings, so the specie can not  be extinct most of the cubs are now being artificially. What a great discovery, now younger generations are able to see new species.

Attack On Libyan Hotel

A group linked to ISIS were responsible for the death of three people and six more casualties on Tuesday. The gunmen were involved with a car-bomb explosion and gun attack against the luxurious Corinthia Hotel in Tripoli, Libya. It was reported that the gunmen were killed, as stated by a hotel spokesman. According to an ISIS website, the attack was carried out by Abu Anas al-Libi. Luckily all guests were evacuated to safety

Declin moss was an 18-month old baby who was killed by two family dogs.The grandfather tried pulling the dogs off but wouldn’t let go.Nobody knows what caused them to attack.They were not known for being mean.The dogs were very sweet and isn’t like them to do this

Miss Colombia or 22 year old Paulina Vega was crowned Miss. Universe last night. Although this is a great accomplishment, many felt that the crown should have went to someone else. There were boos when 22 year old Kaci Fennell was announced as the fourth runner-up. Many thought that Kaci had all of the characteristics needed in order to win, and were confused as to why she placed where she did. The audience seemed to believe that it was because of her daring short hair cut and the fact that she was black. What is your opinion on the contestants and their new titles?

This blind mother has seen her son for the first time with the eSight glasses. In Guelph, Ontario had a blinding condition that causes blind spots to where she only sees the outline of an object. The eSight glasses are on market sponsoring those with not all permanent blindness can see, the way this works in by images that are captured. All the new found technology comes to light in such amazing ways allowing this mother to see her child,anything really, for the first time. 12-year old involved in $4.6 million heist

A 12 year old girl and 3 other adults are allegedly involved in stealing jewelry from a luxury jewelry store in Hong Kong, China. On Friday, while the 3 adults distracted staff, the girl stole a 117-carat necklace from the display cabinet. It is suspected that the little girl got access to the case by pocketing a key from a distracted employee. The three adults posed as rich people demanding to see the jewelry to gain the attention of the whole store while the little girl did her part.

New discovery of a shark?

David Guillot discovered this “alien” shark or may I say rare shark, fishing in Australia’s deep seas something like this never had been seen. This frilled shark has up to 300 needle-like teeth, in rows of 25, and measured up to 5 feet with a body that resembles an eel, is a ‘live fossil” from 80 million years back. It  is known to live in deepest part of the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, although it was found at 1,100  meters by this fisherman. Many fisherman probably never encounter these types of species because all these areas are off-limits, so this was a big unforgettable discovery. Of course, there is more out there that we have not seen because the seas and oceans are all very vast. Lets keep exploring the world people.

The Bill Cosby scandal has been going on for about a month, and no one not even Mr. Cosby himself has spoken up about the allegations. Malcolm-Jamal Warner the man that played “Theo Huxtable” in the hit TV series “The Cosby Show” has finally spoken on the situation. He says that Mr. Cosby was a mentor and a friend to him, and to see these allegations about him breaks his heart. He believes that Mr. Cosby was a great man and always will be. My personal opinion on Mr. Cosby’s choice not to speak upon the issue is that he is being politically smart about the issue in protecting himself; however there are many fans who would still like to know the truth. Is the NFL Going to Let Brady and Belichick Play it for a Fool?

I did not believe what Tom had to say, said former quarterback Mark Brunell, now an ESPN analyst, on the network following the Brady press conference. Those balls were deflated. Somebody had to do it. I don't believe  there is an equipment manager in the NFL who would on his own initiative deflate a ball without that starting quarterbacks approval.

Police: Kids, left alone, die in house fire while mother is out getting hair done.                   

4-year-old Ta’shae Thompson Johnson and her 3-year-old brother, Clifton Thompson Johnson were killed in a house fire while her mother left them home alone in order to get her hair done. Their mother, Ciarria Johnson claims that she arranged for a next door neighbor to watch her kids while she was away when in fact that was not true. The fire was caused by two gas space heaters that were left on and came into contact with a flammable object. Ciarria is being charged with two counts of negligent homicide. Is this punishment toward Ciarra unfair, or did she deserve a more harsh punishment?

Baby shot in the head by younger brother

In  a home of Missouri baby of 9 month was shot in the head by younger sibling? The mother of the two children reported that her son had shot the baby with a paintball gun. When the police arrived at the scene they found a “.22 caliber magnum revolver” near the crib in the master bedroom. The baby was taken to  Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City immediately and was declared dead. Keep the family in our prayers, this is such a sad event, something I would never get over,emotionally.

Dog From Texas found in Indiana

After almost eight months and over a thousand miles, a dog belonging to a woman in Galveston is found in Indiana. After someone left Blue, the dog, in the Kokomo Humane Society claiming she was a stray, they scanned her microchip and found out she was from Texas. How she ended up in Indiana, nobody knows. Moral of the story is that its always a good idea to microchip your dog

Man survives two semi trucks

In Baker City, Oregon- Kaleb Whitby was trapped between two semi trucks and survived. Kaleb fist hit the back of the jack-knifed semi, which caused his truck to flip over at that moment another truck sped up by his side and trapped Kaleb in between. Kaleb managed to slide out with only minor cuts and bruises, after getting out of the tight space he helped the other drivers. How incredible, Kaleb himself called this a “miracle” because accidents like these can get you or someone else killed.Truly this is a miracle, who would have imagined such possibility.

HOUSTON, Texas — Schlumberger, a Houston- based company is the world’s largest oilfield services company, and reported a sharp decline in fourth quarter profits relating to lower expected exploration spending as a result of the plunge in crude oil prices.Oil prices continued to plunge as the price of crude fell to below $47 on Thursday’s trading in the stock market. Last June, the price for a barrel was at $107.Meanwhile, customers are happy going to the pump these days. Gas is now going for less than $2 a gallon at most U.S. gas stations. Prices have plunged about 46 cents a gallon in the last month and are down $1.21 a gallon in the last year.

Florida Teen Impersonates a Doctor

In Palm Beach, Florida a teen was arrested for impersonating a doctor in St. Mary’s Medical center.

He was arrested while in an exam room with another doctor.

The reason why he was not caught earlier, was because he had a coat with the hospital’s logo embroidered on it.

He apparently presented himself as Dr. Robinson.

Thieves use truck to smash through store, steals ATM

A group of suspects thieves is facing charges after allergendly  trying to steal an ATM. Police in Humble, just north of Houston, say the gang of five use a stolen pickup and smash through the front window of a shell gas station just after 2:00 am. The store was open at that time and. incredible, no one was hurt. The suspects apparently loaded the ATM into the bed and speed off.

Toddler helps police

Who knew children could be so smart now in days? Elizabeth Barrios, mother of three year old Aiden, was dropping off another child at a daycare when someone stole her car with Aiden inside. The Ogden police immediately helped out the mother, who claimed that her son knew how to use her phone. After calling her phone, police were able to contact Aiden, who was told to lock the doors and start honking. It is relieving to know that children’s intelligence can come in handy during emergencies like these.

2014 was earth the warmest year on record a us whether agency announce on friday. The National Climatic Data Center, a division of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, noted the average temperatures over land and oceans were higher in 2014 than any year since 1880 when record-keeping began.Last month also had the third-highest average global land temperature out of any December in the past 135 years at 2.45 degrees F above average, according to the agency.

This video has now gone viral, showing clues on why crash 747 occurred in the first place. A plane can be used for many transportational needs, in this case the plane was carrying many 5 armored vehicles from Afghanistan. Each vehicles weighs 13 tons if they were to unchain itself it pushes back 20 or 30 tons to the back of the plane. This unbalances the plane causing it to crash, it is all about balance and double checking the attachments before taking off. We should all consider the efforts of those that allow us to travel places, especially when it is not just one person but hundreds of others that also add weight to the plane.

Cleveland police officer shoots and kill 12 year old holding a BB gun

It started with a 911 call when police were call to the playground because people were saying that he was waving a gun and pointing at people the call was unsure if the gun was real or fake. The orange safety indicators was removed from the airsoft BB gun, causing it to automatic pistol.

Elephant vs Cars

In Thailand an attack was reported, but this is not like any other attack this was an elephant attack. One of the biggest animal known for their heaviness, sit on top of a car like if it was a stool. This incident was caught on video by a  pedestrian, no one was reported injured, although the car was severely  damaged  and sent for repairs. Such a strong animal, I think it was a very traumatic event for those inside the car. The streets are never safe of danger, if it not a car its an animal, be safe out there everyone.

New bedbug discovery after 5 years of torture

Regine and Gerhard Gries, both biologist at the Simon Fraiser University, make an incredible discovery on bedbugs. During a five year experiment she was completely surrounded by bedbugs and her husband also showed the support. Trying to come up with something that would help eliminate these pests, she slept with around 100,000 bedbugs receiving 180,000 bites. During the science experiment she has found her answer in five new odors that attract these small blood-suckers. This is such a great discovery that allows us to have regular check ups on pests, also allowing us to take control of the situation.

Dog eats $23,000 worth of jewelry

When she saw the dogs near the coffee table and she remembered that she left her wedding rings sitting on the table last night. When she waited waited for the rings to come out the situation got more rougher she took the dog to the vet, vowing to get the wedding rings back. But the doctor said that is wasn't just rings she found in the stomach of the dog, after getting out the wedding rings he founded some rock in there and he wasn't for sure too if there was sticks or bones.
